Three major EU requirements that S355J0H steel pipe must meet

When exporting S355J0H steel pipe to European Union countries, compliance with strict technical and quality standards is essential. Buyers and contractors in the EU demand reliability, safety, and full documentation — and meeting these expectations starts with fulfilling three major EU requirements.

1. EN 10210 Certification
S355J0H steel pipe must comply with EN 10210-1/2, the European standard for hot-finished structural hollow sections. This ensures the product is made from non-alloy steel, with specified mechanical properties such as minimum yield strength of 355 MPa and impact resistance at 0°C. Compliance with EN 10210 builds trust and guarantees consistent performance.

2. CE Marking & DoP (Declaration of Performance)
To legally sell structural steel in the EU, CE Marking is required. This shows that the product meets EU safety and performance standards under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). A Declaration of Performance (DoP) must also be issued, outlining the products key characteristics, test results, and intended use.

3. Full Material Traceability
EU projects often demand 3.1 or 3.2 MTCs (Mill Test Certificates) under EN 10204. These documents provide full traceability of the S355J0H steel pipe, including chemical composition, mechanical tests, and heat numbers. This transparency helps prevent risk and ensures project accountability.

Meeting these three EU requirements isnt just a formality — its a necessity for winning trust, securing contracts, and entering Europes high-standard construction market.
